I've never had a disappointing experience here! Food is so good! & most importantly when we leave we don't feel horrible after eating there...(The I ate to much processed fried food feeling) 1000% recommended

I cannot believe I have driven by the place so many times and never stopped!

I got the friend whiting with grits and eggs. Everything was delicious but I must mention that their fried whiting was literally the most crispy and flavorful fried fish I have ever had! I will be back and I will get the fish every time!

Not a fan. Sammy's is small not many seats. I called in my order but it was not ready when I went there. Which is fine... I don't mind waiting on fresh food... but that was not the case. My okra was fried twice.... ( see photos) what some places will do when they have old and cold food they will put it back in the grease to make it hot!! Making it hot THAT DOES NOT MEAN ITS FRESH. Trust me I LOVE OKRA AND I KNOW WHAT FRESH COOKED OKRA TASTE LIKE. I also had the fish meal. The fried fish was good and so was the grill fish. The hush puppies must not have been cooked at the right temp because the outside was overly cooked but the inside was doughy( see photos). IF I was to go there again I would have tell I would like fresh food lol ‍

This unique spot is a hidden gem in Plaza Midwood. There was constant traffic. Regulars enjoying their moderately priced breakfast. On top of great prices, they serve breakfast and lunch all day. The grits were creamy and cooked to perfection. And the fried flounder was soooooo crispy and well cooked.

Well, it's needs to be pointed out. 4 stars for breakfast. BUT. All the dishware is disposable. You eat on paper, with plastic utensils, and drink your coffee from styrofoam. And then it all gets tossed in the trash to end up in the landfill or OCEAN. GET A DISHWASHER and real dishwares. We now live in the age of responsibility, the planet is suffering and it has to stop.
